LIGHT
Non-Denominational Chapel on the campus of SUNY Farmingdale
The purpose of this project is to design a non denominational church on the campus of SUNY Farmingdale. We need to make this a profoundly spiritual place with the use of light. To start this project we were all assigned a building to research where the architect used light creatively. The project I was assigned the Riola Parish Church by Alvar Aalto.
LIGHT MACHINES:
The class created light machines to test what we learned from our research and to test ideas of our own.
AUTOCAD LIGHT MACHINES:
We recreated our efforts in AutoCAD with 3D models.
CONTEXTURAL ANALYSIS:
Analysis of the built and natural environment.
SITE ANALYSIS:
Location of church and why I chose that spot along with some preliminary designs.
FINAL DESIGN:
